Long answer to Peters show exhibits

I have had many conversations with show organisers on this subject.

My view is the cars you describe cannot be beaten by the average classic car owner who drives his car to and from the show, which is demoralising for these real enthusiasts.
My solution is simple, the trailered cars (show cars) should have there own category and only compete with each other, the regular show entrants should be left to compete with each other on a level playing field.
