Tim's right, shooter has licked the sticky bit of the envelope for this sort of stuff. He has done serious mileage in S2-S4-S5 and has added the GTN and various other cars alongside bikes etc. He has been using his Tesla for some time and does mileage in it.
I also remember arriving at AMS Amsterdam airport five (?) years ago and seeing the taxi rank stuffed with Tesla being used as Taxi's. If they can survive that they can survive most things. The drivers mentioned problems with the rear motors being noisy and some issues with the sat-nav. That was a short list for a taxi driver in my experience, none of them bitched about range. Tesle got the spec requirements right from the early stages and took the hit on the high price knowing the needs.
