I also received the same letter this morning although fortunately my brake pedal assembly is one of the later ones that does not have "M3W" cut into the pedal.
You will note there is no mention of the cracking of the front lower wishbone mounting lug which some of us have had replaced FOC by MMC. I would consider this to be an equally serious problem which was reported to the DVSA at the same time as the faulty pedal assemblies, but which MMC appear to have chosen to ignore. Don't hold your breath for a letter on that issue.
