I have a 2012 model with the earlier pedals (see picture) but never received any letter from MMC.

Decided to send them an email. Here is the conversation thread:

I have a 2012 M3W model . It has the laser cut M3W and has been visually inspected but without any modification done to it.
Can you confirm that the visual inspection is sufficient and that over time we run no risk of failure without changing the pedal assembly or is it preferable to do this work?

answer MMC

With regard to your 2012 3 Wheeler and the brake pedal concern, as long as the inspection has been carried out by a Morgan dealer who would have the information to confirm that there is no further action to take then this would be sufficient. Please can you confirm to both Myself and DSC that this is the case??

my answer

Visual inspection was done by dealer (as he told me) and no cracks were noticed. Does that mean that the pedal system is safe and how can i carry the inspection myself on a regular basis?
answer MMC

I suggest that you ask your dealer to show how to check and also show you the weld on the brake pedal. This way you will be certain it’s done and know exactly where and what to look at.

Perfect case of double standards and rather poor issue management. They have a replacement kit for the earlier pedal but will not even mention it. It is up to the user to "regularly check" visually and then make a short prayer when driving. If it did not concern the brake pedal i would not have posted an email exchange but i thought this should be shared
