It's a mindset Alistair. The whole point of a Trad is to enjoy that 30's experience which makes long distance touring such a buzz. We are so lucky to still be able to experience this! It doesn't appeal to everybody and I really do get that. But taking a Trad round the Scottish Highlands is the most amazing experience....because it's a Trad with all those foibles.

Some Trad owners are more inclined to just go to the pub on a Sunday but that's also fine.

If I wanted refinement or absolute performance in my toy car I'd get a Boxster, or Supra, or Z3, or xxxx, all of which are serious rivals to the CX cars.




I enjoy it. Not an issue for me. But I fitted cruise control & that really helps on Mways
