I doubt that Morgan had much choice in the decision to cease the Trad range, as the difficulty in sourcing engines that meet the requirements of the regs now in place and being compatible with such an outdated platform would be insurmountable (probably). I can't think of a manufacturer who is likely to (A) Make a suitable engine and (B) be willing to sell Morgan a few small batches every now and then.
And what engine should that be? 1.6, 2.0 or a V8? Or all 3?
Ideas that involve re-jigging the old Trads with better suspension and power plants are all non-starters IMO. Far too involved across the board for a share of 600 cars produced per year in total.
