Another weekend and another chance to get some work done on getting the race car one step closer to the first race of the season.

First off this weekend was checking out the new tank which arrived from Mulfab along with the Anti-tramp bars. Second but main activity was getting the dash finished as it was still a dash covered blank.

Fuel Tank
A big box arrived from Mulfab this week as expected which heralded the arrival of the foam filled lightweight tank. So in a very Christmas style moment, first activity of the day was to open the box and quickly compare to the old tank.

You can see the tank vent on the left (red) and the dip stick on the right.

You can see in this picture the mounting bracket which does away with the wooden boards.

At the rear on the left you can see the LHS and RHS pick-up pipes from inside the tank and also the Fuel return pipe if you are using injection (or some carbs have this).

I asked Mulfab for a tank which I could use with Carbs but also use with injection in the future if I wished, so this tank is suitable for both.

The tank itself is foam filled to stop sloshing

This is looking inside the tank where the fuel gague sensor goes..

A quick check to compare to the old tank and all's good!!! smile

That done... on to getting the dash sorted.
