That is a great story Mario, I'm just sorry that you had a poor start, but it sounds as if it ended well.
Looking at the exhaust fracture, it seems to me that the forward mounting point, on the pipe and just in front of the broken weld, is the culprit, if it was removed altogether and the rear mounting beefed up enough to hold the silencer, it would all pivot in one piece, but then again, what do I know!
