Yesterday (and because I knew I was going to punish the tyres a bit) I had:
2.2 BAR at the front (32 PSI)
1.8 at the rear (26 PSI)

My usual is not as high but it is also considerably higher than recommended. It is 2.0 BAR (29 PSI) at the front and the same 1.8 (26 PSI) at the rear.

So far so good, and my front tyres are the "stock" Avons (can't remember what's at the rear, but it is also the tyre that came with the car)
