Grockle, thanks for your friendly and polite advice, although you're wrong about not having had any of the issues - just not some of the more catastrophic ones. I will ignore it (although I have nothing against Volvos) and please don't offer me any more of your excellent counsel.
Luckily for me, I have another Morgan that allows me to take much longer journeys than the M3W and has been generally very reliable over 8 years - an Aero 8 S3. See - I don't need the Volvo.
