What is a bit hard for me to believe is that this weak chassis situation could exist at all. In the year 2017, with the CADD and modeling capabilities available (and presumably employed) in the M3W frame design, there should be no trial and error involved, and no mystery!
The days of Colin Chapman removing a tube at a time until the chassis broke, then replace the last one you took out and call it good, should be gone forever from ranks of any but shade-tree mechanics.
