This sound very tough on you hbatts.

Who was your contract of sale with? Morgan UK or more likely the local dealer? because that is where the first line of responsibility will lie.

I can only repeat that you should check with your consumer authorities as to your rights if you are sold products that are defective or not "fit for purpose".

Taking a slightly "left field" approach, perhaps Morgan should consider flying the necessary expertise to you.

This very much depends on what specialist equipment is needed for your repair but it does venture down the path I took with my Delorean where a group of Australian owners paid for the highly acclaimed Chris Nicholson ("For the Love of Cars", "Wheeler Dealer" etc) to fly to Australia to work on our cars over a period of a few weeks - the expertise we needed but lacked in OZ. It was a great result.

In your situation, Morgan staff could work on other clients issues state side and even train local staff to do the work. It can't be that difficult can it?

As it stands at the moment Morgan is sending a very sobering message to ALL overseas buyers, new and second hand, we can't effectively service or maintain our product...

Freight should only cost me $3 or $4 thousand dollars each way, or only $8,000 to correct an engineering design fault especially after I fit Morgan's "upgrade" frame triangle to their suggestion. The reason for the frame "upgrade" was to prevent our frames from breaking. Prior to my fitting the "upgrade" I had NO frame cracks! Sadly much of the shine of my fun little car is gone.
