I have no issue with problems experienced by others on their Morgans being discussed on here. That is a real benefit to this forum. We can all learn from others experiences and check out our own vehicles. It is the broken record effect of resurrecting old and out of date issues that I find disrespectful to forum members. I guess this is where we have a difference of opinion. Anyway, good health.

It is no secret that I am a part time Tour Guide at the factory, I have been since March 2017, so I am an MMC employee. However, let us be clear, my duties and my accesses, are limited to conducting factory tours. I do not seek or have any influence at the factory. I know my place.

Ian old son, so good of you to respond personally.

For a while there I thought you may have gone to the naughty corner.

Given the speedy response from Mr Evans (5.50 am London time – my, he is putting in the hours!) and not long after my post, you will forgive me for thinking (silly me I know) the game plan was “you fire the shot and we’ll cover you

But then he didn’t seem to know who you were..................

It may be well known to the locals that you are a Morgan employee but I missed the post where you made that declaration and your profile doesn’t show it.

No problems with you posting anything now ALL TM’ers understand the potential conflict of interest.

Thank goodness we’ve thrashed that out and I am relieved to learn your comments came from the heart of a dedicated Morgan owner and you were not shoved out in camouflage under company orders to quell the antipodean revolt.

Such a shame I sat up late waiting for your carefully crafted response, what a duffer I am.

But now for the positives – we have the intervention and undivided attention of Mark Evans live on stage!

He has personally assured us of the status of chassis cracks so that is a good thing.

I am certain he will be just as reassuring on the substantive issues of:-

1) What has been done to ensure this doesn’t happen again in new vehicles?
2) The guarantee Morgan will provide on the repair? (Upgrade sorry)
3) How many pre January 2014 await checking and or repair?
4) Have ALL owners been notified?
5) Cost to the owner and time frame to “upgrade” afflicted vehicles?
6) Compensation to owners for the loss of use or “quiet enjoyment” of their vehicle?

So many questions, so much excitement – let “Project Wirewheel” begin....

Long Live Talkmorgan

Ps, don’t you just love this forum?
