I used to glimpse them as the train passed Brooklands :-)

The Thruxton skid pan sessions saw a lot of 3 & 4 series BMWs, an Alfa Giulia, and a Mini - all of whose control systems couldn't be turned off, and whose dashboards lit up for Christmas. some found themselves in limp home mode as their nannies told them off. All very well, good & safe on the public highway, but not a lot of fun in a low speed/no friction environment.

Speaking to the BMW team at a Goodwood driving day yesterday, they set traction controls to low intrusion, but definitely on - which I can confirm from a lary moment coming out of Lavant in a Z4 ;-)
