You're doing well to get to 10mph on the skidpan: it's surrounded by grippy tarmac, so you're not going to hit anything.
The only risk I could see was in leaving the pan sideways, power on, and putting sudden load through the drivetrain... which is solved by lifting off the loud pedal :-)

On my Mission Motorsport day they were putting cars through in groups of 6-8, with each session lasting 45 minutes.
I took two sessions, with 45 minutes between.
