Sadly, when you get to a certain age. friends and acquaintances begin to fail. In the last six months we have seem multiple cases of serious illness.

MrsW had skin cancer on her ear. It was removed successfully, but how many actually apply sunscreen to their ears? The number of bald heads in open cars astounds me each summer. The plastic surgeon told us that you need f50 all year round. It's the bulk of his work. I used to be a baseball cap fan, but now in summer its a wide brim hat when we're in the Morgan.

An old neighbour (mid 80s) has just had a skin cancer taken off his face. A colleague from work had the same. She is mid 60s.

A near neighbour just had a stroke while in a hotel in York. He's 60. Not overweight, never touched alcohol or smoked. Active lifestyle. Now he's stuck in York until a bed becomes available locally. He's lost the use of his right arm & leg.

Next door's daughter had covid twice, had a stroke and had to have a heart operation. She is late 30's.

Then there are those we know having hip and knee replacements.

Enjoy your Morgans while you can. That's the best advice. But cream up first! thumbs
