The sun shone through a watery sky, we needed to go to the stable yard for our usual duty, I couldn't bring myself to drive the Macan again. Yesterday we used it to haul horse bedding... the ride is simply horrid.
So I opened the garage door and started Tarka... the first time since 9th November.... plenty of battery power.
I took this photo at the stable yard.

It seems to sum up the atmosphere of the moment.
We left the yard and went for a drive, via Majestic and Tesco's petrol station.
Dammit, Tarka is a nice place to be, so we took the scenic route home.

I thought I'd made up my mind to sell the car, but now....I'm uncertain...life is too short to be logical at our stage of it. We have just had a reality shock, a very good friend has just spent 2 weeks in hospital, recovering from sepsis: it was close. She is our age, well pensioned along with Paul, active, fit and looking forward to skiing again after the covid issues. Not this year, the locus of the infection was in a hip joint, which had to be surgically cleaned. So no skiing this year. I don't need to sell Tarka.... so why take the logical, sensible decision?
