Glorious weather, brilliant blue sky, a bit nippy.....

The kitchen team were busy preparing an early. supper....
So I escaped to take Tarka out for a drive...hood up though...

Taken the MOD road past Porton Down. The MODPLOD discourage people stopping, but on Christmas Day I thought I'd get away with it.
The lighting from the low angle sun really brought out the best in Tarka's paint: I'm really pleased with that shot.

If you zoom in on the background at the front of the car you can see all the bunkers built a few years ago to hold 100 years of chemical weapons for disposal: slow, dangerous work as many have to be first identified as all the markings have been lost over time and poor storage at other sites. The work is expected to take many years.
