I have just done Phil's Centa mod on a service exchange basis, i know this is old hat to many of you but i enjoy the posts about stuff being done to the cars so thought i would post a few pictures.
The main reason for doing it, apart from the well known benefits, was to try to get to the bottom of a rattling sound i was getting from the Centa area
which i think it has done.

The kit comes with everything done and just needs fitting, the splines on the hub will fit perfectly to an unworn crank without filing, Phil can supply undersize spline that will need fitting if your crank is worn.

New bolts supplied by Phil that replace the poor originals.

I also replaced the clutch support bearing as it felt gritty and was noisy when spun and all the grease had come out through the metal seal.
Phil supplied a replacement with a rubber seal.

Pressing the shaft into the new bearing using the cheapest press on Ebay but it did the job no problem.

The new hub is a perfect fit and now at idle the rattle is gone, i haven't been able to go for a test drive yet as the car is SORN at the moment but am sure the rattle i was getting at 3K plus will be as well.

Doing all this makes me appreciate the work Phil has done developing the kit as its a lot of work getting the engine in and out but the number of times he's done it he's probably got it sussed now!
