I guess an 'entry level car' that no longer represented the rest of the range in dynamics could easily end up as a self-shot foot .... someone who may find the CX as their sort of car would likely find the trad crude and unsophisticated and therefore disappointing .... the trad commands loyalty for it's very crudeness and lack of sophistication (amongst those of us who value the simplicity and 'vintage feel' ) and those would be less likely to 'trade up' to a CX ... my guess the only buyers would be people who would stick with the 'entry level' trad cos they fell for it's charm and those wanting to replace their trad with a younger one ... neither of which would help CX sales .... more 'alternative' than an 'entry level'.
A true entry level Morgan for the current range would be a low-specced (rubber mats and vinyl) with a cheaper power train CX.
