Morgans are not easy to live with, and the likes of TM has bought to a wider audience the joys and sometimes pains associated with ownership and running a Morgan. Which makes for a more informed population of potential Morgan owners, that only had in the past word of mouth and Miscellany outside of the dealership network informing the debate. How often in the past did 'they all do that' enter the Dealer post sales dialogue.

Disseminating knowledge is a powerful tool, that does not always work in the subject matters interests, that often depends on whether the recipient is a buyer or a seller of the product. At the moment it is a full blown buyers market, whether it's a recessional blip or a longer term demise has yet to be seen. But the potential market place is (should they look) better informed than say 20 years ago, and the lengthy delivery lead time has disappeared and with it the inflated used car prices on the back of that lengthy waiting list. In the past there was little second hand stock and little choice in the prices being asked if you wanted to join the Morgan crowd, those days are now long gone.

John, much depends on how long one`s teeth may be in terms of Morgan involvement.. In my case I became interested in possible Morgan ownership in the mid 90`s and coincidentally found access to the internet (dial up) which I then searched for Morgan related info, fortunately for me the MSCC had just decided to create their forum, which I joined, and through that forum by asking the question "which Morgan" Lorne along with Spanner Juggler and many others had answers to every question I could think to ask.... Lorne also linked me into Autox which had a US based Morgan forum, and in time Lorne created eMog, as it seemed the MSCC were desirous of backing out of hosting a forum where too many awkward questions might be asked..? Apparently the interweb was a bit wild West and in time there were...err...disagreements, and eMog was closed down....I remember the OZ folk had a go along with UK to set up the Naughty Boys Club forum, which I joined, thus quite some time prior to TM there had been a great deal of Morgan related chat going on for quite a few years...

According to some it was mostly the US market that kept Morgan in business through the hard times of the sixties, a time when it seems likely that most Morgan enthusiasts were physically engaged with spanners and hammers and "improving" their Morgan`s themselves and as they matured perhaps became more..err..rotund, thus their desires for their Morgan modifactios entered a new phase, softer springing, wider doors to improve access and egress. Move on a decade or do and the toolkits of many now supported spiders webs, and Morgan desires were evolving blingwards, with fancy trim, even air con, and auto boxes all found to be keeping pace with the "progress" of ever evolving desires and expectations....

As for the market.... it does seem as baby boomer such as I loose our grip on the perch, those who once greatly valued Morgans and their evolutionary processes seem bound to diminish in number with an obvious knock on effect...? There are loads of vids out there which seem to suggest my thinking may not be too out of touch...?

Only one Morgan in this vid, and it is a soft top Aero.... Though if you watch it the price paid for the 3.2 Carrera barn find suggests that some Porsches seem to be going up against expectations of some...?
