Perhaps........... the dealers have to go.......or at least the big glass showroom types.......maybe the smaller Mom and Pop outfits will be the only ones with overheads small enough to ride the storm....?
SOR prices will be dictated by, what the owner would like to see returned + some haggling room + the dealers margin. When there is no market a degree of common sense has to be adopted by all parties.
I'm sticking by my prediction that CX's will continue to devalue and Trad prices will stabilise and firm up........but....... the values of old are gone forever.....!🤷🏻♂️
Sewin, you're right, Peter and Charles M new the market, perhaps it's changed a bit since their day, but the market that the Italians are after doesn't exist, certainly not in the numbers to make it all work.
If......... things were 'normal' they might have a chance, but the're not and they don't.
I hadn't thought about the complexity of CX's to fix or repair after an accident, but you're right, they'll probably go the same way as electric cars being written off for small amounts of damage due to being uneconomic to repair........
I accept that 'something' had to be done to comply with whatever nonsense the EU and the net zero zealots impose on the motor industry, but for a small quirky niche outfit like Morgan to try and mix it with the huge multi million pound/euro car manufacturers is....optimistic.......................😆
