And we talk and often complain about the exploits of the irresponsible younger generation today. We were far worse in our day. I used to go on a weekly pub crawl with 4 mates every Friday and Saturday packed into an Ford Anglia. We regularly bought at least 2 rounds each, so at least 10 pints each and always driven back by Mike who loved his beer and often had up to 14 pints a night at the weekend and still drove. Well one Xmas day after a really heavy session on Xmas eve he got pulled over on the way to the pub for a Xmas pint or 2, having not drunk anything that day. Needless to say he failed the breathalyser many times over the limit even though he hadn't drunk a drop for over 18 hours....those were the days.
