Thanks for taking the time to reply John, it would seem that in the case of air cooled 911`s that the young and investors alike seem to have become attracted to them even though I doubt that the 20-30 year olds of today had a pic of them on their bedroom wall..... From the point of the young, up to the 3.2 being non digital, simple suspension, no ABS, no power steering they would be simpler to run and maintain, a bit like the difference between a pre EFI trad up to the mid 80`s and later models...though the market does not seem to think so in terms of Morgans.. Shrug
The 911 thing is hard to define, when even Ferrari`s struggle to sell, I guess the complexity and cost of maintenance issues relative to Ferrari will ever be a consideration, whereas by comparison air cooled 911`s were by comparison, generally thought of as bullet proof...? Which again if one is into adjusting one`s tax situation via creating a car collection to pass on in time, then for many of the same reasons an air cooled 911 would seem more attractive than most...?
I suspect the fast Ford market perhaps has ten years yet to run..
Will try again to post the link to a current market evaluation by a couple of guys who seem tuned into the current situation...?
