As good as the CX's are (for a Morgan) they've lost the 'Morgan-ness', the something, the je ne sais quoi........... (IMHO)
As is said often on here, the sports car market has changed dramatically in what seems like a very short space of time.
Motoring, just for the hell of it is tricky in large parts of the country because of the roads/traffic/speed enforcement etc etc....
200mph supercars are totally pointless, low speed quirky FUN is the way forward.....
I think that trad values will firm up as CX's become more troublesome and complicated to work on.
The CX pricing will deter the target market which will gradually diminish.
The Italians will tire of it's it's loss making money pit in Malvern, the factory will go back to some form of low cost sports car after a management and crowd funded buyout.
***** just my thoughts for the next 3-5 years......😆

I normally do not comment in this section as we sold our 3.7 Roadster for a Plus Six.. What I will say is yes, our Plus Six has been unreliable, however we have stuck with it fixing the issues, because we like the car, it still is a Morgan made in the Morgan factory. It still gives us fun drives.
The engine is complicated, but is its engine more complicated that the Trad Ford V6 Roadster engines??? maybe not. They both have a similar ( ECU ) type engine management system. Maybe BMW's use of rotary valves in its cooling system gives an added level of complication, but this was only undertaken to achieve the cleaner burn enviromental requirements that is now required. . Regarding the rest of the car, yes it has an alloy structure rather than a steel chassis.. but having worked on both the Roadster and the Plus Six in many ways its mind set of build is similar to the older generation car. The only major area that lets the car down at the moment is the radiator issues.. which still do not look resolved after almost 5 years.
It seems to be agreed that the CX cars handle better than the older steel chassis cars.. but they do not give a Rolls level of comfort. The CX cars still feel like a sports car, a little rough on the edges sometimes depending on road surface..
We can not see us selling the car unless the radiator issues finally get us down..
We would take it with us if we changed our home location... As per Richards comments we have also been looking at areas ( countries ) where its a little warmer and maybe also achieve a " golden visa" for residence with the purchase of a house... IMHO this country is in a right mess, it needs major changes in a lot of directions, which I doubt could be undertaken in my lifespan.. hence why we are thinking of relocation. I always thought of the UK as home from home and was proud that I was British, but I dont feel these vibes now.. for me thats very very sad.
