Agreed. Having scanned most of the headlines, in the local shop today, they are (IMHO) irresponsible!

My emergency back up supplies are mainly potatoes, cheese and baked beans!

I wouldn't fancy wiping your bum on any of those laugh2
. Might be alright if you peeled the potatoes. scared

Every house has a bidet next to the toilet here. Consequently, despite it all, there has been no panic buying of soft paper products. Medical masks, and any approximation of, and hand cleaners yes, but that is about it. At the moment supplies of masks are unavailable and reserved for hospital and medical use. One company that was selling them at hugely inflated prices had all their stock confiscated and given to the hospitals. We have 4 masks left which are not really medical masks even though they were purchased at the pharmacist in late January. At the moment I am only using one when I go to the shops. Also wearing disposable gloves when I go to the shops as touching things other people have handled is unavoidable.

We are a small town with a population of a little over 10,000 and fortunately we seem to be out of the main areas of contagion. As at this afternoon we have 9 cases reported. That could double over the next few days but then, hopefully, notice of new contagions will reduce.
