In Italy, since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 27,980 people have contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus (compared to yesterday they are 3,233 for a increase of 13.1%) Of these, 2,158 have died (+349, 19.3%) and 2,749 have been cured (+414, 17.7%). 1,851 people are in intensive care (+1,779, 10.7%). Currently there are 23,073 positive subjects (the count rises to 27,980 - as mentioned above - if the count also includes the dead and healed).


Taken by itself it is not good news however it does indicate that the incidence of new cases is falling. The increase in new cases over the last three days has fallen from 19.8% to 17% and now 13.1%. We can only hope that this trend continues.

Unfortunately the death toll has now reached 2,158.
