I support HB's comments. It is bizarre that so many people on the internet with absolutely no expertise in this field believe they know better than Whitty or Vallance how the UK should handle the virus outbreak. Presumably this is mainly based on the more aggressive measures taken by Italy but it's entirely possible that the Italian measures have only suppressed the outbreak and that cases may increase again when quarantine is lifted. The EU has shown how useless it is with France and Germany refusing to sell face masks to Italy and the Eurooesn Court of Justice imposing a EUR 7.5 million fine on Italy while they are struggling with the virus.
