I was the consultant responsible for installing and maintaining a networked computer system, cabling, hardware and softwar, in a huge Jewish nursing home. I was invited to the Passover dinner each year and always found it facinating. The catering manager organised a Christmas lunch for the staff (most of the staff were not Jewish) and she proudly explained that it was completely kosher.

I used to enjoy having discussions with the rabbi every so often and I once asked him if kangaroo meat could be kosher and he replied that it was not. I remarked that when the rules of kosher where established they did not even know that kangaroos existed. His reply was to point and look upwards and with a smile said "But he did." smile
