Peter, if Tarka can still provide any degree of pleasure and selling is not any real requirement, then it seems reasonable at this time in life to extract a degree of pleasure wherever we find it...?

There is no way I could justify to my younger self owning two sports cars that are seldom used, but I am not young any more, they provide pleasure as garage art, a sense of achievement and are rather special to drive. As a petrol head it took many years of being sensible to arrive at my current vehicle ownership situation and for as long as I do not need to convert them into cash I am happier to enjoy them as I might, rather than put up with the hassle of selling any of them.

Of course in terms of matters financial given govt decisions of late put pensions and so much else under pressure, planning for anything approximating a reasonably stable household financial future over the next few years seems impossible...?

Yeah, enjoying that which we can and while we can seems a more than reasonable option...?
