I have to say, I'm more than a bit p*ssed off that the French government has shut down my business at 4 hours notice, yet still plans to go ahead with local elections tomorrow and next Sunday.

I accept that if it's considered essential to put the country into lockdown, then we must all play our part; indeed I've been expecting this measure, but not with such speed that I've had no time to sort things out with my staff, nor time to cancel food orders, run down my stocks of fresh goods & so on. If it's that urgent that it had to happen immediately, then why the f*** would they still be wanting all good citizens to turn out at the polling booths, particularly as the elderly tend to vote in higher numbers ?

It's completely inconsistent.
