Three days ago there was a report in my newspaper about airlines applying to the EU to keep their slots if flights are cancelled.
So far it is that they lose the slots if they do not use them. That is why there are sometimes ghost flights that are completely unreasonable because they affect fuel, wear and tear and CO2.
I don't know if this concerns the flights from UK to N Italy but probably not, or? At least it is not any longer ruled by the EU what happens on British airports, or?
