Local folks who are NT volunteers and in touch with local sites report that Calke NT was packed out with people picnicking etc today. Left loads of litter and dog poo and no signs of social distancing. BBC showing pictures of Hove packed out today on their news pages. All very reminiscent of a story on these pages of a fine weekend in Italy two weeks ago.

Mrs F and I went for a walk from home today - not the nicest of walks but it was a route which we know well and has no chance of being close to other people. If we can do it .....

UK compulsory lock down is now inevitable I fear.

Thanks for that Paul were going for a walk around the grounds of Coleton Fishacre tomorrow so will check before departure.

Those picture on the BBC of people at Hove is sickening and I suspect your prediction will come to pass soon.
