This morning I read a report supposedly from the Italian Health Authority that shows 95% of the patients who died due to COVID19 had major underlying medical issues and the Chinese Authorities are reporting similar statistics. It is also critical that we all abide by the social distancing rules to flatten the curve which will not stop the virus but will give time for a vaccine to be found and distributed plus relieve the pressure on the healthcare systems. The US is struggling with testing and containment because we have a private healthcare system all acting independently coupled with each State doing its own thing and no fully centralized authority in control.
