Temporary repair.......
Fibre glass patching to get an MOT!
Years ago my dad showed me one such “repair” when the car came in to him for a proper repair.....several months after MOT.
In the cigar factory I worked in we had a Bodge Champion fitter/engineer.
Two bodges were...
Oil change by drilling his sump to drain oil ( he had previously welded his drain plug in place ) then using pop rivets to seal the holes.
Making a radiator from copper tubing by bending several metres of it to a roughly rad shape and soldering adaptors to get the connections to hoses.
He only used the car for short commutes to work.

We also had another maintenance techie who bought a Lada. He sprayed the underside with Waxoil. Trouble was he used far too much. A call went out over the tannoy for him to remove his car from the car park and clean up the pool of waxoil on the floor. He was a character...name was James Bond ( true) and was an ex opal miner in Australia. Also doing an OU degree in maths.
