Completed some proper bodging today.
As an incorrigible early adopter of the latest hi-tech gadgets (as evidenced by my choice of transport of course ) I fairly recently got myself a trendy big screen folding phone. To go with it I ordered and eventually received what seemed like a very good holder to fit it for the car. Unfortunately it would only fit if I took the case off of the phone which was difficult as it is partly held on with what looks like double sided tape, required due to the large holes in the case for the two screens and the hinge. After some extensive modifications on the mill the rather pricey holder fitted the phone complete with the case, seemed to be secure whether with the phone folded over or opened up and it took up residence in the tin-top. Next it was time to make one for the three wheeler as I objected to paying loads more money for something that would instantly need modifying so everything was done from scratch apart from the screws, springs and the USB cable! I now have a working holder that fits on to the RAM mounting ball that has lived on its dash for quite a few years.
