OZ, the story of that particular machine seems very unusual indeed...However, I suspect back in time many well made, high status and quality vehicles as they aged, ended up in the hands of more practical people who recognised that the machine could be converted to become a tow truck, saw bench and so many more practical applications out in the sticks, as opposed to their former life perhaps seen in all the right places in and around the city...? Then in time the classic car movement came into being with the baby boomer generation, and where former old rusting saw benches were converted back into the wonderful Bentleys or whatever they once were, then went on to be presented at Pebble Beach or similar to win acclaim as concours de elegance champions.... ?
