To my mind 1957 was the 'sweet-spot' year for post-war American vehicle design ... some great looking cars carrying famous names .... those names so often got exploited for marketing dull and lardy successors down the line ... Thunderbird being a prime example .... went from the lithe and good-looking youth of '57 to overweight and ugly middle-age! 😆
