Drove from Aberdeenshire to Shropshire to see relatives, 900 miles in 6 days. Journey down was fine apart from 30 mins to do 3 miles through roadworks round Perth. Returning forecast was rain most of the way, it was 6C on departure. Got to Carlisle before it started to rain, crossing into Scotland it was heavy rain for 50 miles, very uncomfortable. I was glad I was not on M6 in Lancashire, the spray from 3 traffic streams would have been horrendous. After about an hour driving I'm looking to stop, 2 hours is the most I have done without stopping. Petrol on the motorway was £1.30/litre, just filled up locally at £1.21 & in Shropshire saw £1.20. I wonder if they are related to vampires?
