I like your idea Stephen.. While the canal system was used to transport many things in times past, it is just used by pleasure craft these days, few if any are likely to be able or equipped to take the load of a M3W not to mention the degree of difficulty to get it load and unload it.. ? I think there may be the remnants of a canal side hand operated crane near me, though not been there in years.... Apparently it may only take circa 3KW to rotate the wheel when fully loaded.. Clever stuff indeed. and the Kelpie statues nearby are just wonderful, they may even be the largest equine statues in the world...?
