The standard battery lasts approximately 2h30min with the camera in stand-by (so that starts to record at the touch of the button) taking videos of 2-3min time when passing by a nice scenario meaning a total recording time of 20-25 minutes.
Resuming: 2h30 to 3h00 in stand by with 20-25min recording.
Not too much. It's one of the known weaknesses of the GoPro...
I carry two batteries. But that's clearly short by one. Or maybe two, as the ideal would be to carry 4 in total, so it would cover a super long day and lot of minutes recording.
