Austrian I had to use starter spray when I was having sensor & ECU issues but otherwise no. I tip given by the mechanic fixing mine, switch on the ignition till you hear the fuel pump cut out, turn off & repeat twice more then start. This does seem to make a difference to mine from cold start.

That's interesting. My wee girl seems to spin over for several uncomfortable seconds on the starter before firing up & this may help. It never fails to start, just gives the impression that it knows better than you..
