I prefer use it without mudguards When I go away for A long ride i put them. Never had any problems.
Do you notice the difference in ride/handling due to the big reduction in un-sprung weight? If you do, then I might consider getting some made up in carbon-fibre (yet sprayed to look stock). Always thought it should make some sort of improvement?
