Weather forecast for today is 38F and sunny. Doable for a 1-hr. drive to visit my beloved 18-month old 'Griff pup who's away at a 'hunting dog boot camp' for etiquette training. Perfect opportunity to test the results of my Dynamat Xtreme project. I went with the 36 sq. ft. (.37 sq. meter) box of nine sheets and used all but 1.5 of them so far: under the cargo tray, behind seats, floor boards, inside the tunnel, 80% coverage of the interior-outside panels (can any human being actually reach all the way forward?!) and the ceiling above legs. Cocomats are on order to line the interior. The remaining Dynamat will be applied to the interior-inside panels once I'm sure the carpet conforms properly.
Updating my own post. Reveraling ride. I suspect the dynamat helped, at least tio tighten everything up. But the big surprise was how well the new style, taller windscreen aids in the cold and wind. Not only could I see directly through it but even at speeds of 75+mph, it did a great job of redirecting the headwind. As such, a wool cap and goggles were sufficient for warmth. The shorter screen would have required a full face helmet.
