Back in 1996 I had a BMW 530 V8. It had a 80 litres petrol tank. One day I was at the petrol station. Next to me was a guy with a Toyota Starlet. When my pump reached the 40 litres mark I said to the Guy: Your tank would be overflowing now. He was gobsmacked when the pump reached 70+ litres.


In 1974 a friend of my father had a V8 Ford Mustang. One day when he visited us, my father asked him if the Mustang was economical to run. This is what he told my father: I once stopped at a petrol station and I asked the petrol station attendant to fill the car up. After 15 minutes the attendant asked me to stop the engine because he wasn't able to fill the petrol tank.
