My Super 3 was returned to the factory for resolving of handling issues and a fuel system whine, however, there is clearly a corrosion issue on early cars. Before they have started on the work I requested, they have "started at the rear of the car looking to replace components that have seen an upgrade in quality of component. e.g. the exhaust hanger and replaced any other parts that showed any sign of corrosion they then covered the components with anti corrosion coating". So the factory must be concerned about underpinnings not being sufficiently protected against corrosion. I was surprised to hear about the exhaust hanger being upgraded, I didn't know there was an issue with them.

I found the exhaust hanger that you mention must be replaced on newer cars. I’ll have to get that coated as well when I get round to the front assembly. Also the brake drum looks like it was found at the bottom of the sea. I might have a go at painting it with black caliper paint as that’s going to annoy me every time I see it.
Fun fact. When I asked the dealer how you open up the rear hatch he told me I can’t, it’s only to be opened in the workshop. 🤷‍♂️ It’s caked in mud in there only after 500 miles, I’m sure owners are expected to get in there to clean it?
