Sadly, suspension surface rust is a Trad feature. I think the theory is that once an even coat of rust develops, it protects the surface. However I have to paint mine satin black. The rusty disc edge is a feature of most cars, and again can be remedied with paint. But when these comonents are visible you would hope that MMC would make a bit more effort to protect the look.
The side grille could be improved with a narrow U section of neoprene, which would tidy it up no end and would allow ACF50 to be dribbled down inside occasionally.
