When I was very young ( aged between about 3 to 7) my granddad used to take me to the workshop where he made coffins for his mate, an undertaker. He taught me to straighten bent nails ,the smooth ones, while he was building the coffins. Small ball pein hammer and anvil.and I quickly learned to miss my fingers.
I still have a lot of his tools. The wood chisels are excellent. His hand drill is a nice bit of kit, as is the brace/bit drill. Rawlplug chisels to create holes instead of a hammer drill.i used his jack plane not long ago, made by him as was the norm. One tool I haven’t used is a Stanley compass type with flexible sole plate and the rebate planes.
