Can anyone explain why the "gender fluid and uncertain" members of society wish to be called "they"?
"They" ia a plural pronoun, my understanding of English Grammar is that "it" would be correct when referring to an indvidual of non-binary gender, but I'm an old luddite and must be missing something.
