If you need a new car, then it's hard to avoid considering an EV - with prices starting at around £25k for a new EV, there's a lot of choice too.
As a note of interest, a Morgan 3 wheeler on the road price is £43k (no options) which is not far off the price of Model 3 (£46k)... A Plus 4 is £66k, more expensive than the top of the range Model 3 Performance.
My Tesla is 41p cheaper per mile than the car it replaced and I have saved £8,200 in fuel costs since buying it - with no servicing costs, no road tax and no congestion charge, which are also significant savings.
I didn't buy it to save money or newts as it happens - just as a decent commuter car, which it is. Amusingly, it has a longer range than my +8.
